What Exactly a Big Bet Is?
Category: Texas Holdem FAQ
Hi there!
I just want to clarify some stuff. Is it true that the proper expectation would be one big bet per hour? I believe the kind and level of game you are into should be considered here. And what exactly a big bet is? Is it a bet equal to the size of the pot or something like doubling up what you have?
I hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks for your time in advance!
Regards,
Mikhael
Mikhael,
What you are referring to is Limit Holdem. In Limit Holdem, a good player should expect 1 to 2 big bets per hour. The big big is determined by the limit played. In a $2-$4 Limit game, the big bet is $4. You should expect to win $4 to $8 an hour in this game.
