Slowplaying, if only used at the right time, can really help. It is actually also called as trapping or sandbagging and is the opposite type of bluffing. In slowplaying, you would make opponents believe that you do not have a winning hand when in fact you really have. The goal would be for you to make sure your opponents would continuously play and make bets to strengthen the pot.

Ideally, you should not slowplay too often most especially if you do not know how you can pull it off later part. For better results, only slowplay when you have great set of cards and are up against aggressive opponents.

If you have been playing the game Poker for some time now, then you are most likely aware that aggressive players are players who love to raise most especially in the early part of a game. They love to secure upper hand and give out money whatever set of cards they are holding. They do not care if they give away money for right reasons or not. Hence, they are typically a great source of income.

However, although it is more ideal to slowplay only when you are up against aggressive opponents, be sure that before you decide to slowplay you really have some great cards. It would be safer for you if they are cards that no one can beat, winning cards in short. However, nothing is sure when you are in a poker game. Thus, you must be always open to every possibilities and you must play cautiously.

Aside when up against aggressive players, you can also slowplay when the pot is bigger and other players are short-stacked and have the tendency to unwisely bet. But still you must be careful and make sure you have some great cards.
